About me
For more than three decades I have worked in many areas of psychiatric care: on inpatient wards, in outpatient clinics and in psychiatric care centres. My work is shaped by a psychotherapeutic outlook, a holistic approach and respect for each patient’s individual needs. Alongside relieving symptoms, I think it is important that treatment builds on the patient’s own resources, existing abilities and supportive relationships. I use medication and psychotherapy-informed interventions in a personalised way, working together with the patient. I pay particular attention to a safe, accepting atmosphere, to therapy goals we agree on together, and to improving quality of life in the long term. I add to my experience through continuous training and through national work on developing psychiatric care.
